Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a Tax Senior Manager in Raleigh, NC on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in the office). You will lead complex tax engagements, oversee compliance, mentor staff, and serve as the primary client contact while identifying tax planning opportunities.

The role requires a CPA license and 7+ years in public accounting with 2+ years in management, including deep expertise in pass-through and corporate taxation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's preferred.
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
• 7+ years of public accounting experience, including 2+ years in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of pass-through entity taxation and general corporate taxation.
• Working knowledge of partnership taxation, including equity investment structures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, managing workflows, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Review complex tax returns for clients in manufacturing, real estate, professional services, and high-net-worth segments.
• Solve tax and business challenges using strong technical and analytical capabilities.
• Lead tax staff, seniors, and managers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate exceptional client service and identify forward-looking tax planning opportunities.
