Job summary

UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement seek a Tax, Risk & Special Projects Analyst in Evanston, IL, in a hybrid role (in-office Tue & Thu). You will support tax compliance, risk management, insurance, treasury activities, and special projects for ULRI and ULSE.

You’ll learn to manage tax filings, risk documentation, and cross‑functional initiatives while contributing to process improvements and strategic finance projects.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tax compliance and tax-exempt organization regulations.
• Understanding of risk management, insurance administration, and internal controls.
• Experience supporting cross-functional projects and treasury-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with federal, state, and local tax compliance and filings.
• Maintain tax compliance calendars, workpapers, and records.
• Support insurance, risk management, and related policy administration.
• Prepare analyses, reports, and decision-support materials.
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Legal, and external advisors on cross-functional initiatives.
• Support special projects by gathering information and tracking milestones.
• Monitor regulatory developments and identify process improvements.
