Job summary

Jobot seeks a Tax Manager to lead engagements, mentor staff, and advise clients on complex tax matters. The role is based in Frederick, MD, with a hybrid schedule across offices on the Mid-Atlantic region.

The ideal candidate will have CPA certification, 6–10 years of tax experience in public accounting, and strong knowledge of corporate, pass-through, and individual tax issues, including state taxes. EST availability is preferred for remote candidates.

Qualifications

• CPA required; EA considered for the right candidate.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; advanced degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic tax planning guidance and identify opportunities for savings.
• Research and analyze complex tax issues and stay current on regulatory changes.
• Review and oversee tax preparation work for accuracy and compliance.
• Advise on tax matters for corporations, pass-throughs, and owners, including state issues.
• Lead and mentor engagement teams and support staff development.
