Job summary

Career Legal seeks an experienced Tax Manager / Senior Manager to join its Grand Rapids office. A licensed CPA with strong public accounting tax experience will oversee engagements from planning through completion and mentor staff.

You will provide tax research, planning, and advisory services, review complex returns, and work with Senior Managers and Principals to deliver high-quality client service. Hybrid work schedule available.

Qualifications

• Licensed CPA required.
• 4–7+ years of tax experience in public accounting or related environment.
• Ability to manage and review complex tax engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Mature, client-focused approach with ability to lead and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise complex and larger tax engagements.
• Manage engagement workflows, deadlines, and deliverables for quality and efficiency.
• Oversee preparation and review of complex federal and state tax returns.
• Provide tax planning, research, and advisory services.
• Develop strong client relationships and identify opportunities for services.
• Contribute to business development and practice development efforts.
