Job summary

EisnerAmper is seeking a Tax Director to join the Private Client Services team in Elgin, IL. The role focuses on leading tax projections, returns and client service for individuals, families and businesses within a growing PCS practice.

The position requires a CPA or JD, extensive tax experience and a track record of managing engagements, teams and client relationships in public accounting or similar settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent field is required.
• CPA or JD required.
• 10+ years of recent tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or mix of public/private.
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience providing tax compliance and consulting services for individuals and S-corporations or partnerships.
• 6+ years of experience working in complex technical tax.

Responsibilities

• Review of tax projections, tax workpapers and tax returns. Specifically, Federal and State Individual and Fiduciary tax returns.
• Oversee and manage the tax return process including identification and resolution of tax issues.
• Experience with corporation and partnership accounting and tax concepts.
• Mentor, train and manage staff accountants to meet deadline and prioritize workload.
• Effectively manage multiple tax engagements in a team environment, and also work independently. Identify potential opportunities for new and/or expanded client services.
• Ability to lead and manage engagements, including budgeting, billing and engagement economics.
• Highly proactive approach to serving clients.
