Compeer Financial is seeking a Casual/Seasonal Tax and Accounting Assistant to support the Tax and Accounting department during the 2027 tax season. You will assist with scanning, processing, printing and mailing W‑2s, 1099s and tax returns while ensuring fees are uploaded and deadlines are met.

The role offers a hybrid work model and local Wisconsin office options. The position begins January 2027 and runs through mid‑April 2027, with a minimum 20 hours per week and potential for up to 40

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills.
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
• MS Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability and willingness to learn Adobe and other technology.

Responsibilities

• Scan, process, print and mail client W2s, 1099 forms and various tax returns.
• Ensure tax service fees are uploaded into the system.
• Complete various tax and accounting mailings.
• Provide accurate and timely accounting and tax processing support.
• Maintain tracking system and adhere to department policies, procedures and best practices to balance the workload and meet aggressive timelines.
