Job summary

MVP Consulting Plus, Inc. invites an Expert Systems Developer to join a 24‑month contract in Albany, NY. You will lead development for security applications rewrite using .NET Core, C#, Oracle, and modern web technologies.

You will execute the full SDLC, mentor other programmers, and collaborate across IT teams. The role requires strong Visual Studio, MVC, Angular, HTML5, SQL/PLSQL skills and a focus on secure data access and production support.

Qualifications

• 84 months of experience using Microsoft Visual Studio to develop/maintain n-tier web browser-based applications in C# for n-tier web deployment.
• 84 months of experience with Oracle 11G or higher and writing SQL and PL/SQL queries, updates, stored procedures, functions and cursors, and Oracle SQL query optimization.
• 84 months of experience in developing and maintaining web applications that utilize modern client-side technologies such as HTML5, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap and Cascading Style Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Use Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 or higher and write code using MVC Architecture, .Net Core, JavaScript, Angular 2 or higher, Ajax, HTML, XML, Web APIs and WCF.
• Prepare scripts to create and modify existing Oracle tables, create indexes, constraints, triggers, views, etc., code stored procedures and packages, convert and migrate data when necessary.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot various rules, calculations, and data issues on application reports using Crystal Reports.
• Mentor and assist other programmers, both state and consultant, providing guidance for debugging, troubleshooting, securing and deploying applications, data access, data communications and system architecture configurations.
• Use a source code repository TFS for checking in and checking out source code branching off new versions of the source code.
• Work within the IT Service Management System to take in incidents and service requests for the application, as well as request services from other ITS groups.
• Code applications that access Protected Health Information.
• Diagnose and debug production issues reported via ITSM. Escalate critical calls as necessary and join bridge calls to assist in diagnosis.
• Report status of current tasks and outstanding issues to supervisor.
