Job summary

Tantus, a Sikich Subsidiary, seeks a Systems Administrator to support vulnerability management for a federal client in a hybrid Washington, DC environment. This surge position runs through January 15, 2027, with possible extension and requires an active public trust or higher clearance.

You will triage deployments, research fixes, coordinate with end users, and document remediation steps, with opportunities to grow into SCCM, Intune, Azure, and broader vulnerability management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Active public trust or higher clearance required.
• Onsite 2-3 days per week.
• Experience with Windows endpoint management and deployment.
• Ability to explain technical steps clearly to end users and team members.

Responsibilities

• Research vulnerability fixes, release notes, and remediation guidance for deployment.
• Triage failed software installs and deployments with logs and device health checks.
• Coordinate remote troubleshooting sessions and communicate next steps to users.
• Document troubleshooting steps and escalation details for knowledge sharing.
• Review logs (Splunk, Defender, Purview, endpoint management) to identify root causes and next steps.
• Track remediation progress and maintain patch compliance visibility.

Education

4-year degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
