Job summary

Tantus, a Sikich Subsidiary, seeks a Systems Administrator to support vulnerability management for a federal client in a hybrid Washington, DC environment. You will handle endpoint management, software deployment, and triage of deployment issues, growing into SCCM, Intune, and Azure responsibilities.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, end-user collaboration, and adherence to change and security procedures, with room to advance skills in cloud tools and vulnerability remediation.

Qualifications

• Active public trust or higher government clearance required.
• 4-year degree or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Willingness to work onsite 2-3 days a week.
• Strong troubleshooting and end-user communication skills.
• Familiarity with SCCM, Intune and Azure; vulnerability management focus.
• Experience with vulnerability scanners (Qualys/Tenable/NinjaOne) is a plus.
• Microsoft cloud certifications are a plus.
• Ability to translate vulnerability findings into remediation actions.

Responsibilities

• Research vulnerability fixes and remediation guidance across software products.
• Triage failed deployments by reviewing status, logs, health, and connectivity.
• Coordinate remote troubleshooting with end users and document next steps.
• Perform manual installation or repair when deployment fails and document resolutions.
• Review Defender, Purview, Splunk logs to identify root causes and escalation steps.
