Job summary

UN COMN is seeking a Systems Administrator (Entry/Junior-Level) to join our hybrid team working onsite at HQ and Scott AFB, IL. You will provide Tier 1 support, troubleshoot common issues, and assist with routine system administration under senior guidance.

Ideal candidates have a STEM background or 2+ years of related experience, with Linux/Windows experience and a willingness to obtain Security+ and government clearance. Strong communication and documentation skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or 2+ years of related professional experience.
• Must be comfortable obtaining CompTIA Security+ within 30 days of start.
• Must be eligible to obtain a US government security clearance (citizenship required).
• Hands‑on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills; able to document procedures clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 end-user and basic system support for unclassified environments.
• Troubleshoot common hardware, software, application, network, and access issues.
• Escalate complex issues to senior team members and document actions and resolutions.
• Assist with routine system administration tasks and updates.
• Record work and support day‑to‑day operations using team tools.
• Support basic automation tasks, deployments and system support under guidance.
• Monitor system status and help maintain availability, security, and compliance.
