Job summary

Emergent Staffing, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator for a 6+ month contract in the Minneapolis area. The role supports on-premises and cloud infrastructure, focusing on identity, access, and enterprise systems.

You will work with IT teams to ensure secure and reliable performance across Windows Server, AD/Azure AD, Exchange, and IAM platforms. Responsibilities include AD administration, IAM (Okta/Azure AD), SSO/MFA, patching, Exchange/365 mailbox support, and PKI management.

Qualifications

• Experience with Active Directory and Azure AD
• Familiarity with Windows Server patching and maintenance
• Knowledge of Exchange/Outlook and mail migrations
• Exposure to IAM platforms (Okta); SSO and MFA concepts
• Basic experience with Microsoft Azure environments
• Understanding of remote desktop infrastructure and secure access
• Experience with PKI/certificate management
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Effective communication across teams

Responsibilities

• Support administration of Active Directory, user/group management and GPO tasks
• Assist IAM platforms such as Azure AD and Okta
• Configure and support SSO, MFA, and conditional access policies
• Perform routine Windows Server patching and monitoring
• Administer Microsoft Exchange/365, including mailbox provisioning
• Support remote access technologies (RDS, VPN)
• Manage certificates and PKI renewals
• Monitor systems and troubleshoot incidents; escalate as needed
• Document configurations and processes; participate in on-call rotations
