Job summary

Ruan is seeking a Managed Transportation Intern for Spring 2027 at our Des Moines campus with a hybrid schedule combining on-site and remote work. The internship develops students pursuing careers in supply chain, transportation, accounting, HR, IT, or related divisions, exposing them to projects across the transportation business.

It is temporary, nonexempt, and hourly/part-time in nature. Interns will learn routing optimization, carrier tracking, and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentation material (25%).
• Provide day-to-day activities focused on meeting internal and external customer needs (25%).
• Fully support financial business case analysis (25%).
• Participate in major cost and process improvement initiatives and projects, and provide technical support in managing the business unit's financial performance (20%).
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required (5%).
