This position targets early-career engineers eager to develop skills in structural analysis, design, and drafting within the solar energy sector. You will perform structural calculations, assist with pile plans, and contribute to drawings and reports using AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 2+ years of civil/structural engineering experience.
• Understanding of steel design per AISC.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn PV pile design tools for solar projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations with guidance to ensure compliance with codes and project requirements.
• Assist in pile plan production, analyzing foundation loads and soil interactions.
• Support the development of structural drawings and reports using AutoCAD and industry tools.
• Pick up and implement redline markups accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure consistency between calculation reports and drawing sets.
• Participate in QA/QC processes, reviewing work and updating documents per reviewer feedback.
• Collaborate across civil, electrical, and project management teams for cohesive execution.
