Job summary

Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is seeking a Student Assistant in the Sociology Department to support the launch of the Certified Wellness Coach II (CWC II) Program. The role runs through January 15, 2027, with potential continuation based on performance and grant funding.

You will assist with program development, outreach, and grant-related tasks, while attending monthly in-person meetings on campus and occasional events at local community colleges.

Qualifications

• Organized, reliable, detail-oriented; able to work independently; strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Researching and compiling information about the CWC II program for promotional materials
• Identifying potential guest speakers; assisting with promotion, planning and coordination of informational sessions and other events
• Supporting outreach and recruitment activities
• Completing general administrative tasks and grant-related paperwork
• Occasionally travel with faculty to nearby community colleges or local outreach events
• Approximately 5 hours per week, with hours varying by program needs
