Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) or Architectural Engineering (Structural) or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited college/university.
- Completed fundamentals of structural analysis with computer applications.
- Completed strength of materials with statics and dynamics.
- Completed fundamentals of steel or concrete design.
- Familiar with basic spreadsheet, database and word processing programs.
- Familiar with basic structural analysis software, engineering software, and basic CADD software for reviewing drawings.
- Knowledge of SAP2000, MathCad, and Navisworks is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Performs basic calculations under supervision of a more senior engineer.
- Seeks guidance from experienced engineers for complex decisions.
- Expands knowledge through training and work experience.
- Learns codes and standards to complete assignments.
- Performs non-routine technical assignments of limited scope.
