Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Category Lead to drive category management for assigned groups, oversee strategic sourcing, and manage large-scale contracts. You will influence stakeholders and guide sourcing strategies across gas and facilities services.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, supplier performance analysis, and delivering value through rigorous category planning and negotiations. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five (5) plus years related experience.
• Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), Six Sigma, Lean, Process or Project Mgmt. certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive total cost of ownership improvements and develop the supply base.
• Profile, benchmark, research market risks and opportunities.
• Act as trusted advisor to client groups and keep stakeholders informed.
• Lead cross-organizational teams to implement category strategies.
• Develop and manage supplier relationships and SRM plans.
• Negotiate and execute large to very large contracts.
