Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
2+ years of relevant, post‑graduation experience.
Strong grasp of engineering theory, design principles, and system integration.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
High analytical aptitude for solving complex, non‑routine problems.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and engineering operations.
Familiarity with CAD tools.
Understanding of Specification and Release systems.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily.

Responsibilities

Lead the Product Development Team for steering system components.
Manage design, release, and integration into GM systems.
Complete program ICDs, DFMEAs, and Peer Reviews on time.
Oversee pre-production builds and ensure test readiness.
Drive Design Validation using FEA, modal analysis, virtual builds.
Identify root causes and implement robust solutions.
Coordinate cross-functional activities with purchasing, manufacturing, supplier quality.
Monitor warranty data and address product issues.
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Travel as required.
