Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and optimize cloud infrastructure and deployment systems. You will impact scalability, security, and reliability across platforms, leading critical initiatives and collaborating across teams.

Hybrid role with a requirement to attend the San Juan office twice weekly. Strong expertise in AWS/GCP, IaC (Terraform/Packer/Ansible), CI/CD pipelines, and container tech is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of Infra Ops, DevOps, or SRE experience.
• Linux proficiency, Debian-based distributions.
• Strong experience with AWS and GCP.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Packer, Ansible.
• Python and/or Golang programming skills.
• Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (EKS, GKE).
• GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Enhance Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and enforce best practices.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop internal tooling to support cloud platform operations.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows (FluxCD, Jenkins).
• Address container image vulnerabilities and remediation processes.
• Build AMIs aligned with CIS/STIG benchmarks.
• Strengthen monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, logging).
• Troubleshoot production issues to ensure reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams.
