Job summary

Planet Group is seeking a Staff Data Integration Engineer in Irving, TX, to maintain and support enterprise data integration across cloud and legacy environments.

You will focus on building and troubleshooting Azure Data Factory pipelines, SSIS packages, and Automic workflows while contributing to day-to-day production data processing. The role includes on-call rotation and collaboration with senior team members.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data integration, software development, or technical operations.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and/or Automic.
• Strong SQL Server and relational database experience.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, C#, Java, or similar scripting languages.
• Understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, APIs, and file-based integrations.
• Experience with source control, testing, and deployment practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and support production systems.
• Self-driven and curious, with ability to dig into unfamiliar pipelines independently.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot Azure Data Factory pipelines and SSIS packages.
• Modify and support Automic workflows, schedules, and production jobs.
• Monitor production data processes and respond to integration incidents.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data validation routines.
• Develop scripts and automation using PowerShell, Python, C#, or similar.
• Participate in deployments, testing, code reviews, and release activities.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Support production systems and participate in on-call rotation.
• Follow security, incident management, change management, and ITSM standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve system reliability and performance.
