Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Staff Accountant to support end-to-end accounting, tax and reporting with GAAP compliance and SOX controls. The role collaborates with corporate and divisional teams, handling month-end journal entries and reconciliations, and preparing financial statements and 10K/10Q tie outs.

The position offers a hybrid schedule (three onsite days per week with remote work available). A varied benefits package is described, including health insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related analytical field required (or related experience).
• MA/MBA preferred.
• Job relevant certifications preferred (e.g. CPA).

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journal entries and complete general ledger account analysis.
• Prepare periodic financial statements and supporting schedules (P&L, balance sheet).
• Preparation of 10K and 10Q and earnings release tie outs.
• Preparation of internal reporting materials for executive leadership.
• Compile and provide audit support as requested by auditors.
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and GL analysis.
• Support SOX compliance processes.
• Maintain closing checklist and supporting documentation.
• Assist with GL system Super User tasks.
• Participate in projects and system-related tasks.
