Job summary

Stellar Professionals is seeking a versatile Database Administrator to join the DRPT project in Richmond, VA. The Assistant Agency DBA will manage SQL Server environments, maintain SSRS reports, perform T-SQL programming, and provide end-to-end database support for agency project teams.

Hybrid work arrangement with onsite schedule defined by the agency; contract for 12 months; interview either in person or via webcam; candidate must reside in the US for duration of engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server management, configuration, and maintenance.
• Hands-on expertise in developing SSRS reports and writing/optimizing T-SQL queries and procedures.
• Proven capability to review, update, and maintain source code developed by third parties or legacy teams.
• Experience delivering technical support, resolving database/application incidents, and troubleshooting user issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work independently or within cross-functional project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage SQL Server instances, perform maintenance, optimize queries, and ensure availability and security.
• Develop and support enterprise SSRS reports and T-SQL scripts.
• Maintain, debug, and upgrade existing database applications and legacy code.
• Assist IT project managers with server maintenance, system configuration, and security patches.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and interface with external agencies.
