Job summary

Career Links is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist for a full-time, school-based assignment with a hybrid schedule. You will provide virtual evaluations and collaboration on Mondays and deliver on-site therapy Tuesday through Friday within the school setting.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • Active state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to provide virtual and in-person services.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • CCC-SLP (preferred) and CF supervision available.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations per IDEA and state standards.
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs.
  • Provide direct therapy and consultative services to students with speech impairments.
  • Deliver virtual services and complete documentation on designated Mondays.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student goals.
  • Attend IEP meetings and MDT meetings; engage in professional development.
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies including AAC; adapt interventions for diverse learners.

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our network of education professionals for a full-time, school-based assignment. This unique hybrid opportunity allows you to work virtually on Mondays for evaluations, documentation, meetings, and teletherapy services, while providing onsite services Tuesday through Friday to support students directly within the school setting.

In this role, you'll provide therapy services and support to students with a variety of communication challenges, contributing to their academic and social success. You'll work as part of a collaborative special education team, with access to resources, mentorship (for CFs), and manageable caseloads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in compliance with IDEA and state standards.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
  • Provide direct therapy and consultative services to students with speech and language impairments.
  • Deliver virtual services, complete documentation, attend meetings, and conduct evaluations remotely on designated Mondays.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs to ensure legal and ethical compliance.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other related service providers to support student goals.
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic strategies and technologies, including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
  • Support inclusive practices and adapt interventions to support diverse student populations.
  • Provide training or guidance to classroom staff, if applicable, to generalize communication strategies.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to provide both virtual and in-person services
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Preferred:
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
  • Experience working in a public school setting or with IEPs
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and virtual service delivery
  • Familiarity with Medicaid billing practices and compliance
  • Cultural competency in working with diverse student populations
  • Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply — CF supervision available!
