Job summary

Frost is seeking a Software Engineer II - Enterprise Payments to design, develop, and maintain applications across the organization. This role blends remote work with in-person collaboration, requiring you to reside in Texas near Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, or San Antonio, and travel to the Frost San Antonio campus 2–3 times per month.

You'll work with Java, RESTful services, and APIs, contribute to integration and middleware, and participate in testing, documentation, and support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent
• Typically requires at least 2 years of software development experience
• Experience with Java and scripting languages (Python, Bash)
• Experience with integration, middleware, RESTful services, and/or APIs
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in APIs and Java-based apps
• Experience in Linux and/or IBM AIX environments
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, write, test, implement, and document solutions for assigned program modules
• Collaborate with project teams and other Software Engineers to provide technical support
• Support assigned IT systems/applications by troubleshooting and resolving defects
