Job summary

El Paso County is seeking an experienced child welfare social caseworker to strengthen teams in the Children, Youth, & Family Services division. You will interview families, develop treatment plans, participate in home studies, and provide intensive casework to safeguard children.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Intake and Ongoing units, crisis coordination, and documentation while maintaining a flexible hybrid work schedule and regular field visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work/related field.
• One year of professional, internship, or volunteer work in a human service-related agency.
• Colorado State Child Welfare Caseworker Certification or equivalent is preferred when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Interviews families, develops treatment plans, and participates in home studies.
• Provides intensive casework and supports to families and children.
• Investigates allegations of child abuse and assesses safety and permanency.
