Job summary

Olympus Solutions, Inc. seeks a Full-Time SOC Engineer to support a 24x7 Security Operations Center for a large federal civilian agency. The role covers deployment, integration, and maintenance of SOC tools across on-premises and cloud environments, working with government leadership and analysts.

The position is hybrid in the Lanham, MD or Memphis, TN area, with onsite work and telework as approved. Citizenship and ability to obtain federal suitability are required; security clearances

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience; 3 additional years may substitute for the degree.
• Hands-on engineering and administration of enterprise security tools (SIEM/EDR/IDS-IPS or sensors).
• Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server administration.
• Scripting for automation in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience with formal change management processes.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal suitability determination.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot SOC tools, sensors, platforms, and enclaves across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Integrate data sources, sensors, and SOC platforms; maintain log collection and data pipelines.
• Apply security patches and updates to SOC infrastructure within timelines and coordinate changes.
• Report outages and guide troubleshooting to restore service within 15 minutes.
