Job summary

HireSparks AV Recruiting is seeking an Audio Visual Design Engineer for a Washington DC hybrid position. You will bridge architectural design with AV and smart-building tech in corporate environments.

Applicants should have 3–7 years in architectural design with workplace tech integration, plus proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite. CTS interest is a plus, and collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture/Interior Architecture or related field.
3–7 years of architectural design experience focusing on workplace tech integration.
Experience with Commercial Office Furniture Systems in planning or coordination.
Solid understanding of AV systems (video conferencing, sound masking, collaboration tech).
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Adobe Creative Suite.
Ability to interpret AV/IT drawings and documentation.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
CTS certification or interest in AV/IT credentials is a plus.

Responsibilities

Collaborate on planning and design of workplaces with integrated AV, IT, and smart building systems.
Create design documentation, drawings, and specifications for AV and workplace tech.
Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and project teams for cohesive integration.
Participate in client meetings, offering AV/tech trend insights and strategies.
Review architectural and MEP drawings to align infrastructure requirements.
Conduct site visits during construction to confirm implementation accuracy.
