Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team and support High Performance Computing networking ASIC validation for Slingshot-based supercomputers. You will install and update hardware and software, monitor system status, and help ensure maximum uptime across development systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in CS or Info Systems, plus 4–6 years in system/network administration and familiarity with Linux, compute clusters, and scripting in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 4–6 years experience as a system and/or network administrator and lab technician.
• Experience with Linux-based servers, networks, and filesystems.

Responsibilities

• Debug and fix prototype and Slingshot system issues to maximize uptime.
• Collaborate with Slingshot ASIC, hardware, and software teams for silicon validation and bring-up testing.
• Maintain daily updates of development software stack on systems.
• Maintain and improve system status reporting infrastructure.
• Help debug system issues to isolate root causes.
• Build compute node images with latest OS versions and software stack updates.
• Administer compute cluster for system validation team.
• Collaborates with management and partners on design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
• Mentor less-experienced staff members.
