Job summary

ERCOT is seeking a Settlement Analyst to perform settlement calculations for the nodal market and support ERCOT’s Commercial Operations Systems. You will develop protocol language, create tests, and ensure accuracy using SAS and SQL within a team-focused environment in Texas.

Role progresses from Level I to Senior, with increasing responsibilities, mentorship, and project leadership, while maintaining effective stakeholder communication and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Level I requires a degree with no minimum work experience.
• Level II requires 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Senior level requires 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Prefer proficiency in Excel and SQL/SAS.

Responsibilities

• Assist with projects implementing ERCOT’s Commercial Operations Systems.
• Develop and maintain understanding of competitive energy markets.
• Write and execute SQL queries for analytical reports.
• Write and execute SAS to certify system changes and verify calculations.
• Mentor team members and support day-to-day activities.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
