Bruker is seeking a Senior Tax Manager of Customs, Trade and Tariff in Billerica, MA. Lead customs compliance and tariff strategy across the Americas, coordinating with Tax, Supply Chain and Legal to optimize duties while ensuring regulatory adherence.

The role requires a Master’s in accounting/tax with related certifications, 10+ years in customs/trade, and strong knowledge of HTS and CBP rules. Hybrid work with two onsite days. Competitive base salary and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accounting or Tax with focus on International Business, Supply Chain, Law.
• CPA, JD in Taxation, Licensed Customs Broker or related trade certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years’ hands-on experience in customs, global trade and tariff management.
• Experience in multi-national life sciences manufacturing, technology, or industrial products preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, customs valuation, and origin rules.

Responsibilities

• Lead customs and trade compliance programs, including import/export controls, documentation and internal controls.
• Oversee HTS classification, country-of-origin analysis, customs valuation and related reviews.
• Develop tariff mitigation strategies (duty drawbacks, FTZs, First Sale for Export, etc.).
• Partner with Tax, Transfer Pricing, Supply Chain, Legal, Logistics and Operations to align trade tax strategy.
• Monitor tariff regulations and communicate impacts to leadership.
• Support audits, disclosures, tariff reconciliation and corrective actions.
• Build trade compliance policies, dashboards, training and governance to reduce risk.
• Manage external advisors/brokers and ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
