Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer for a hybrid role based in Richardson, TX. You will lead design and development of scalable digital solutions for myPBM Clinical products, leveraging Java and Angular and guiding architecture decisions.

You will collaborate with architects, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high‑quality code, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior developers while driving continuous improvement across the team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full stack development experience with backend emphasis.
• 3+ years End-to-End CI/CD using Github, Github Actions and artifact management.
• 2+ years partnering with architecture, product, and program management teams.
• 3+ years backend with Java, 2+ years Kafka, 2+ years Oracle.
• 2+ years Angular; 3+ years with Azure and Kubernetes.
• 3+ years leading teams in Scrum/Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust digital solutions and scalable software systems.
• Lead architecture discussions and influence technical strategy for myPBM Clinical products.
• Contribute to solution design, performance optimization, and code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge through talks and workshops.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high‑quality features.
