Duration: Direct Hire

Location: Chicago, IL - Hybrid

Pay: $100K - $130K base salary + bonus

As a Senior Salesforce Consultant, you’ll lead cross-functional Salesforce implementations and serve as a strategic advisor to our clients. You will own discovery, solutioning, and delivery while mentoring team members and building lasting relationships with stakeholders. This is a high-impact role that blends technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership. Your responsibilities include:

Client Leadership & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain trusted partnerships with client stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Lead client meetings, including discovery sessions, roadmap reviews, design workshops, testing calls, and regular status updates.
  • Identify and nurture opportunities for account revenue growth through consultative upselling and cross-selling.

Solution Design & Configuration

  • Lead the design and scoping of solutions in partnership with developers and architects.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable solutions across Salesforce clouds, 3rd party applications, and integrations.
  • Develop design specifications in the form of ERDs, wire frames, process flows, etc.
  • Configure advanced Salesforce functionality including custom data models, complex flows, validation rules, reports, etc.
  • Ensure solutions align with platform capabilities, data model standards, governance frameworks and general best practices.

Internal Leadership & Mentorship

  • Mentor and manage junior team members, sharing knowledge of Salesforce best practices, consulting skills, and project management.
  • Contribute to internal frameworks, tools, and thought leadership to improve team performance and consistency.
  • Participate in onboarding and internal initiatives that grow team capability and culture.

Project Oversight & Delivery

  • Manage scope, timeline, budget, and deliverables for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Coordinate and lead internal teams (including developers, junior consultants, and business analysts) and external client teams.
  • Proactively identify risks and create mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
  • Manage project documentation, from business requirements and user stories to deployment plans and post-launch support.

Testing, QA & Deployment

  • Oversee testing efforts, including functional unit testing, UAT, and bug management.
  • Review and approve test cases to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Coordinate production deployments, go-live planning, and support.

Training, Change Management & Enablement

  • Deliver tailored end-user and admin training and documentation to ensure successful adoption.
  • Provide post-launch support and ongoing system optimization.
  • Act as a Salesforce SME, guiding clients through platform enhancements and best practices.
  • Support organizational change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of Salesforce consulting experience (Must have served as Lead Consultant on the majority of projects and have enterprise Salesforce implementation experience.)
  • Experience overseeing 2-3 projects at a time with an average deal size of $250,000
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities and limitations.
  • Proficiency in declarative tools (Flow, Validation Rules, Reports, etc.); familiarity with Apex and Lightning Web Components is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, integrations, and governance.
  • Experience leading multi-faceted client engagements and managing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Salesforce Administrator and at least one Consultant certification (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) required.
  • Professional Services and Staffing Industry experience is a plus.
