Job summary

Cohen & Steers is seeking a research analyst on a multi-asset investment team that focuses on investing in closed-end funds. This role reports to the VP, Portfolio Manager and will help deliver alpha across asset classes within a framework of top-down and bottom-up perspectives.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in investment research, economics or portfolio management.
• Advanced knowledge of applied statistics and econometrics.
• Interest in investment styles, approaches and managers.

Responsibilities

• Perform empirical research using financial and economic data and back-testing; translate views into actionable ideas.
• Maintain and enhance dashboards and analytical tools to monitor trends across coverage universe.
• Identify sector and asset class themes using quantitative and qualitative approaches; stay updated with academic and sell-side research.
• Write and discuss research findings with an eye toward risks and opportunities in portfolios.
