Solventum is hiring a Sr. R&D Engineer for IP&SS Mechanical Design Development in Eagan, MN. The role involves independent work packages for new product introductions, translating needs into detailed requirements, and developing robust mechanical architectures.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 3+ years in medical device development or 10 years with a high school diploma. Hybrid work with travel up to 10% is allowed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field and 3+ years in medical device or regulated product development.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with 10+ years of related experience in medical device development.
• GMP manufacturing processes experience is required.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute technical work packages for new product introductions, including design, prototyping, testing, and optimization.
• Translate user, customer, and regulatory needs into product requirements and specifications.
• Develop components, assemblies, and product architectures for performance, safety and manufacturability.
• Analyze data, interpret test results, and recommend evidence-based decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and risk management goals.
• Prepare design control documentation, reports, and design history files.
