You will conduct field inspections, investigate claims, set reserves, and negotiate settlements while maintaining regulatory compliance and high standards of service.

The role requires 5+ years of property claims experience, a state license, valid driver's license, and the ability to work flexible hours, including travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of property claims experience.
• Strong investigation, negotiation, and claims handling skills.
• Ability to conduct field inspections independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience adjusting complex property claims or heavy losses.
• Must be licensed as required by state and local jurisdictions and have a valid driver's license.
• May require on-call hours and travel as needed.

Responsabilités

• Examine claims forms, policies, and records to determine coverages.
• Investigate claims by interviewing claimants and witnesses and inspecting damage.
• Set loss reserves.
• Prepare reports for clients and regulatory bodies.
• Settle claims per liability and authority levels; issue settlement checks.
• Control claim costs and maintain caseload.
• Recommend litigation when appropriate.
• Present evidence at legal proceedings with documents.
• Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education.
• Make sales calls to solicit new business.
• Mentor junior adjusters.
• Grow portfolio of business/clients.
• Utilize technology to maximize efficiency.
• Conduct roof inspections as needed.
• Uphold Crawford Code of Business Conduct.
• Participate in special projects or other duties as requested.
