Job summary

Danone North America is seeking a Sr. Manager Process Engineer to lead process design, scale-up, validation, and commercialization for dairy, plant-based, and related food platforms. The role collaborates with R&I, Operations, Quality & Food Safety, Engineering, Procurement, and external partners.

Responsibilities include defining process parameters, leading pilot/plant trials, and building scale-up playbooks to accelerate time-to-market. Hybrid work and travel are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical, Process, Food, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive process-engineering, scale-up, or industrialization in food/beverage or regulated hygienic manufacturing.
• Demonstrated success scaling processes from bench/pilot to manufacturing with robust operating windows and validation plans.
• Ability to mentor technical talent, lead cross-functional work, and communicate risks to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design, scale-up, validation, and commercialization for complex programs.
• Apply expertise in mixing, thermal and aseptic processing, homogenization, fermentation, filtration, filling, sanitation, controls and automation.
• Design and execute pilot and plant trials, analyze results, and present decision-ready conclusions to leaders.
• Develop standards, playbooks, and lessons learned to speed up commercialization.
• Partner with manufacturing to establish operating standards, monitoring, and corrective actions.
