Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to help modernize enterprise infrastructure and strengthen identity, authentication, and certificate-based security. This hybrid role is based in Ft. Washington, PA or Allentown, PA.

The Senior Platform Engineer will lead engineering, automation, and reliability for core Active Directory and certificate services, delivering secure, scalable platforms for critical business operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise Windows/AD environments.
• Hands-on experience with AD, Group Policy, PKI/certificates, PowerShell, and identity/authentication services.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Administering, maintaining, and enhancing Windows Active Directory domains, Group Policy, OU structure, and domain services.
• Managing PKI infrastructure, digital certificates, CRLs, OCSP, and certificate lifecycle processes.
• Developing and optimizing PowerShell scripts and automation workflows to reduce manual tasks and improve reliability.
• Implementing security best practices, supporting audit/compliance needs, and remediating vulnerabilities.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting issues related to authentication, certificates, replication, domain controllers, and GPOs.
