Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Business Technology specialist within the Operations organization. Under minimal supervision, you will maintain and enhance the Business Technology suite, balance user needs with IT requirements, and participate in requirements gathering, testing, and KPI/report development.

You will become a subject-matter expert in one or more technology solutions and collaborate across IT and business teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Master's degree is desirable.
Project management education/experience desirable.
Minimum of five to eight years of electric and/or gas utility experience is required.
Solid conceptual knowledge of information technology.

Responsibilities

Develops relationships with Operations management and users to ensure systems are functioning as designed.
Gains in-depth knowledge of business processes to facilitate improvements.
Establishes cross-functional testing groups and coordinates releases and upgrades.
Coordinates with IT to set release dates and provide test environments.
Writes test scripts, assigns tasks to the business support group, and tracks progress.
Escalates testing issues to IT and ensures documented evidence on team site.
Communicates end-user changes and trains stakeholders prior to production deployments.
