SFM Mutual Insurance Company in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead, implement, and support the organization’s network infrastructure. You will design and secure enterprise networks, mentor teammates, and collaborate with management to advance cybersecurity and reliability across campuses and remote sites.

This role requires 10+ years in network administration, proficiency in routing/switching, VPN, firewall, and security, plus applicable certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computers science, information technology, engineering or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in network administration/engineering, with at least 2 years in enterprise-level design and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, administration, and optimization of enterprise-level networking solutions.
• Provide strategic guidance on network scalability, performance, and high availability.
• Lead in the design, implementation, and administration of networking tech including VPNs, LAN/WAN, and external connections.
• Maintain, optimize, and support VoIP networking infrastructure.
• Participate in audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments relevant to network infrastructure.
• Monitor performance, optimize usage, and tune hardware/software parameters to maximize network performance.
• Develop requirements, participate in projects, and keep team informed on status.
