Job summary

Pierce County is seeking a senior Legal and Contracts Analyst to shape countywide procurement and contracting policies. You’ll work across procurement, contracts, policy, and legal research to develop templates, guidance, and compliance frameworks.

You will research statutes, advise on complex procurements, identify risks, and support the rollout of contract lifecycle tools. This role collaborates with the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Finance, and multiple departments Countywide.

Qualifications

• JD required with emphasis in public/government law in procurement and contract management.
• Three years of experience in public sector procurement, contracting, and governance.
• A resume and cover letter are required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal and policy research of contracts, procurements, and pending legislation; prepare analyses as needed.
• Collaborate with internal customers to prepare scopes of work and approve contract content using required templates and terms.
• Audit procurements and contracts for compliance with legal and management requirements; identify issues.
