Job summary

Caliber Smart is seeking a Sr. Java Developer with React experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications in an Agile environment. The role focuses on building robust backend services with Java/J2EE and Spring Boot, and crafting responsive frontends with React.

You will collaborate with UX, QA, DevOps, and product teams, participate in code reviews and sprint activities, and contribute to deployment and production support in a hybrid NY setting.

Qualifications

• Experience building full‑stack applications with Java/J2EE and React.
• Hands‑on with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA, and RESTful services.
• Familiarity with microservices, relational databases, and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack applications using Java/J2EE and modern frontend frameworks.
• Build and enhance backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop responsive, user‑friendly UI using React.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services and databases.
• Write clean, scalable, and well‑documented code.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint activities.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and defect fixing.
• Collaborate with UX, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
• Support deployment and troubleshoot production issues.
• Follow Agile/Scrum development practices.
