Job summary

Ghafari Associates, LLC seeks a senior electrical engineer to design and engineer lighting, power and low voltage systems for new construction and renovations across multiple sectors from healthcare to education. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years of related experience in power distribution/lighting design.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer lighting, power and low voltage systems for new construction and renovations per codes.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with PMs/clients.
• Interpret NEC and NFPA standards for electrical design.
• Prepare feasibility studies and schematic design packages.
• Produce and review construction documents; ensure quality, budget and schedule.
• Develop accurate project cost estimates and review submittals; respond to RFIs.
• Mentor junior staff and maintain organized project files.
• Conduct field measurements and site checks.
