Job summary

Nova Biomedical is seeking a Senior Director, Global Portfolio Management – Biopharma to lead the global product management organization for the Biopharma business. This senior strategic role defines and executes the global portfolio strategy across life science tools and workflow solutions used in cell line development and bioprocessing.

The leader will own long-range portfolio vision, multi-year roadmaps, and investment recommendations to drive commercial success.

Qualifications

12–15+ years of progressive experience in product/portfolio management, strategic marketing, or related leadership roles.
Experience leading product managers or cross-functional teams in life sciences tools or bioprocessing environments.
Proven ownership of a global product portfolio with strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, pricing, and commercial outcomes.
Strong understanding of life science customer workflows and translating needs into product strategy.
Experience collaborating with R&D, commercial, marketing, applications, operations, quality, regulatory, and finance teams.
Ability to build business cases and connect strategy to revenue and margins.
Strong executive communication skills for senior leadership.
Experience operating in a global matrixed organization with regional teams.
Customer-oriented with engagement with strategic accounts and key opinion leaders.
Experience with bioprocessing, biologics, cell line development, and related workflows is preferred.
MBA or advanced business experience valued.

Responsibilities

Define and own the global Biopharma portfolio strategy across platforms.
Develop a 3–5 year portfolio roadmap aligned to customer workflows and market opportunities.
Translate market dynamics and customer insights into portfolio priorities.
Create portfolio-level investment cases, market sizing, and financial models.
Establish a disciplined portfolio review integrating revenue, margin, installed base, lifecycle, and innovation.
Lead and develop a global team of product managers and portfolio leaders.
Implement a high-performance product management operating model with clear accountability.
Build standards, tools, dashboards, and decision frameworks for the portfolio.
Strengthen Voice of Customer, market intelligence, and competitive intelligence.
Evolve from product-line to integrated workflow and platform strategy.
Identify opportunities to connect instruments, consumables, software, service, and data.
Own the portfolio innovation roadmap and align with R&D priorities and business value.
Prioritize product development investments with R&D and program management.
Define product requirements, target profiles, and launch criteria for major initiatives.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Applications, Service, and regional leaders for execution.
Support strategic customer engagements and major commercial opportunities.
Monitor portfolio performance against revenue, margin, market share, adoption, launches, and lifecycle metrics.
Own lifecycle management from concept to retirement and optimize pricing with stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to improve mix, margins, and attachment rates across products.
Support inorganic growth through gaps, adjacencies, partnerships, and potential acquisitions.
