CoStar Group in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable data platforms powering high-volume analytics. The role focuses on reliable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and modern AI-assisted coding tools to boost development efficiency.

Located in San Diego with a 4 days onsite, 1 day remote schedule, the position offers a base salary of $124,000 to $190,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited, in-person college/university.
• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Strong experience with data pipelines and ETL frameworks.
• Experience building and scaling large data systems.
• Experience with AWS-based data platforms and services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platforms.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large datasets.
• Build and manage data solutions using Databricks and Spark.
• Develop backend data services using C# / .NET.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development.
• Design efficient data models ensuring performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to deliver production systems.
• Ensure data quality, availability, and performance across systems.
• Lead technical design decisions and mentor other engineers.
