Job summary

HonorVet Technologies in Raleigh, NC seeks a Sr. Data Analyst to design, manage and optimize enterprise data pipelines, warehouses, and analytics using Azure. You will transform complex data into business insights with Synapse, Fabric Lakehouse, and Azure AI services.

Responsibilities include building robust ETL/ELT pipelines, tuning SQL/PL/PLSQL, and delivering Power BI-ready datasets. Collaboration with business users and governance via Purview/Entra ID are key to success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in enterprise data analytics and engineering.
• 4+ years on Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and data warehousing.
• 7+ years advanced SQL/PLSQL with tuning.
• 6+ years PySpark, Python, or Scala.
• 4+ years data modeling, performance tuning, cost optimization in Azure.
• 3+ years RBAC and cloud security knowledge.
• 3+ years Power BI semantic models/dataflows familiarity.
• 7+ years ability to organize and follow complex procedures.
• 3+ years Agile (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe).
• Desirable: 3 years knowledge of Azure OpenAI or generative AI data integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, or PL/SQL procedures.
• Manage and optimize Azure Synapse Analytics (SQL and Spark pools) and Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse.
• Develop, test, and tune complex SQL and PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, packages, and functions to support data integration.
• Collaborate with business users to define analytical goals and build Power BI-ready datasets.
• Integrate AI and machine learning insights using Azure Machine Learning and Azure OpenAI Service.
• Enforce data governance, quality, and security via Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Build cross-functional reporting, dashboards, and predictive analytics models
