Job summary

Nordstrom seeks a Senior Engineer 2 in Seattle to own the data integration and AI-enabled features for the Merchandise Planning platform. You will design, build, and operate data pipelines connecting the planning app to Nordstrom’s systems, warehouses, and downstream consumers.

You will ensure data quality and governance while advancing CI/CD, cloud migrations, and analytics with Looker and BigQuery. Collaboration with Merchandising, Planning, Finance, and Supply Chain is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in an engineering discipline, preferably computer science, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of professional software experience with emphasis on data and integration engineering.
• Strong data pipeline and integration engineering experience: batch and orchestrated pipelines with Airflow, Python, Spark.
• Cloud data warehouse experience with BigQuery or similar.
• Strong SQL and data modeling for analytics and reporting.
• API/integration experience with RESTful APIs and SaaS apps.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS planning or supply chain platforms is a plus.
• Analytics/BI experience, Looker or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the data integration platform for the SaaS planning app.
• Develop and maintain batch and orchestrated pipelines using Airflow, Python, and Spark.
• Lead data quality, reconciliation, and observability across the integration stack.
• Contribute to AI-enabled software development and deploy AI agents for planning workflows.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to meet business objectives.
