Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a senior Information Security professional to lead risk management initiatives, coordinating across IT, Corporate Security, Audit Services, and Compliance. You will plan, perform and report on risk-based work assignments under direction of the IT Risk Manager and Cybersecurity leadership.

Qualified candidates will have 4–6 years in risk management, strong knowledge of NIST frameworks, and experience with GRC tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Certifications in Risk Management, CISA, CISSP, CISM, GSEC or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee information security risk management across IT, Security, Audit, Compliance and Operations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align cybersecurity practices enterprise-wide.
• Facilitate risk assessments, audits, and remediation of risks.
• Promote internal controls to reduce risk and improve compliance.
