Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior DevTech Compute Engineer for Compression and Data Processing to prototype and integrate GPU-accelerated data workflows. You will explore novel compression methods, co-design hardware and software, and work across teams to optimize multi-stage workloads and data movement.

You will collaborate with research, hardware, systems software, libraries, and tools teams, and engage with major customers to deploy solutions that push the performance envelope for distributed data

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in CS, CE, applied math or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of relevant experience with cross-team collaboration in state-of-the-art systems.
• Hands-on experience with low-level parallel programming across CPU/GPU/NPU/ASICs (CUDA, ROCm, Metal, OpenACC, OpenMP, MPI, pthreads, TBB).
• Fluency in C/C++, algorithms and data structures.
• CPU/GPU/NPU accelerators architecture fundamentals, memory subsystems, NICs and storage I/O.
• Data processing, compression and decompression, codecs or high-performance distributed databases/ETL.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and integrate GPU-accelerated data processing approaches (dataframe analytics, compression, databases).
• Collaborate with experts to optimize complex data-intensive workloads across heterogeneous architectures.
• Influence design of next-generation hardware, software, and programming models with multiple NVIDIA teams.
• Work with major customers to integrate solutions rapidly and influence data analytics standards.
