Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join the Technical Operations team in Pleasanton, CA. This full-time hybrid role focuses on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, automation, and observability for a fintech SaaS platform.

You will operate and improve highly available cloud environments, containerized workloads, and develop automation, while collaborating with engineering to strengthen reliability and scale across public clouds.

Qualifications

• Experience building cloud-native applications with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Hands-on Kubernetes in production environments and containerized workloads.
• Experience supporting AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar public clouds.
• Infrastructure as Code and automation with Terraform or similar tools.
• Strong cloud infrastructure administration and cloud-native operations.
• Shell scripting and infrastructure automation experience.
• Linux or Windows systems administration background.
• Experience with production web applications.
• Programming or scripting with Go, Java, C#, PowerShell, or Ruby.
• Experience scaling distributed production environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize cloud infrastructure across multiple public clouds.
• Manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes in production.
• Advance automation and IaC using Terraform and related tools.
• Enhance observability, monitoring, and platform reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve cloud-native practices.
