Job summary

Haverford College is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Advancement and Campaign Director to lead high-impact fundraising campaigns and donor engagement. The AVP/CD will oversee strategic planning, cultivation, and stewardship of major gifts, reporting to senior leadership and coordinating with the Board of Managers.

This role manages a team of fundraising professionals and collaborates across departments.

Qualifications

10 years of progressive experience in advancement, fundraising, or development within complex organizations.
Experience leading a fundraising campaign from start to finish.
Proven ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward major and principal gift donors at the highest levels.
Strong leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Experience managing high-level volunteers and collaborating with institutional leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead campaign planning and ensure alignment with priorities and goals.
Oversee the comprehensive campaign plan: timeline, budget, strategies.
Monitor campaign performance with data-driven KPIs to hit targets.
Recruit, train, and manage campaign volunteers and leadership groups.
Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gifts; manage senior donor portfolios.
Maintain donor relations reporting, dashboards, and stewardship programs.
