Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking an experienced software developer for a four-day in-office, one-day remote role in Buffalo, NY. You will write advanced code, collaborate on SDLC governance, and help modernize banking applications within the Microsoft stack.

You will work in a dynamic environment requiring independent work, code reviews, and strong communication with stakeholders. The role includes on-call rotation and on-going support for critical applications.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in C#/.NET.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack.
• Experience with Azure development and modernization in Azure.
• Experience actively participating in Scrum/Agile teams.
• Ability to work in a changing environment and quickly adapt.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, resilient code within the SDLC framework.
• Review pull requests and manage changes.
• Produce organized, secure source code in at least one programming language.
• Collaborate with teams to document and communicate technical implementations.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to architecture discussions with stakeholders.
• Understand and adhere to risk, regulatory standards, and controls.
